Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 August 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Wasla at wasla.club(the “Service”). Wasla is a product owned and operated by Zerophia, based in the Netherlands (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Where we host user content, they also reflect platform rules under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).
1. Role of Wasla
Wasla is an online platform that hosts chapter pages, event listings, and booking flows. Unless we expressly organise an event ourselves, hosts are the organisers of their events. We are not a party to agreements between hosts and attendees about attending an offline activity, except for (a) organizer subscriptions billed to hosts, and (b) Wasla-processed ticket payments facilitated through Stripe Checkout and Stripe Connect, where we act as the marketplace platform that collects payment from attendees and settles net proceeds to the host’s connected Stripe account (less fees and any adjustments). Joining events and communities on Wasla is free for attendees when no ticket price is charged. Hosts may collect payment via an external link (0% Wasla platform fee on every plan) or through Wasla Checkout (Free: 5% host-side platform fee; Club: 0% Wasla platform fee — Stripe card processing is separate and disclosed on both).
Under the DSA we act as a hosting provider for user-generated listings and related content. We are not obligated to generally monitor all content, but we act on valid notices of illegal content (see Notice & action).
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 16 (or the higher age required where you live).
- Provide accurate information; keep credentials confidential.
- Members browse and join free. Hosts can publish on Free (1 community) or subscribe to Club (unlimited communities, multi-admin, Trusted label, and 0% Wasla platform fee on Wasla checkout), billed via Stripe.
- By creating an account you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Community Guidelines.
- You may close your account by requesting deletion from Support (see Profile → Request account deletion, or email support@wasla.club). We process verified erasure requests as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Host obligations & warranties
If you publish as a host, you represent and warrant that:
- you have the right to organise and promote the event;
- listings are accurate (time, place, capacity, price, audience, alcohol, prayer/wudu notes) and not misleading;
- the event complies with applicable law, venue rules, insurance, and safety requirements;
- content does not infringe IP, privacy, or personality rights of others;
- you will not use Wasla for illegal gatherings, hate, exploitation, fraud, or prohibited categories in our Community Guidelines;
- if you collect ticket money through Wasla, you are eligible under Stripe’s and our rules (including Stripe restricted businesses), you complete Connect onboarding truthfully, and you will not sell restricted products or operate a restricted business category via Wasla Checkout;
- if you use an external payment link, you understand that Wasla may review that link and related activity for fraud prevention and compliance, and that suspicious activity may be reported to competent authorities for investigation where we believe that is necessary or required by law.
You remain solely responsible for the offline event, attendees you admit, and any consumer or contract claims arising from your event (except claims solely about our platform billing errors). See also section 6 (Stripe Connect marketplace).
4. Attendees
Bookings may create a direct arrangement with the host. Joining on Wasla is free for attendees when the event has no ticket price. Where you pay through Wasla Checkout, payment is processed by Stripe; attendance is confirmed after payment succeeds (or as otherwise stated on the event). Host-side platform fees (Free: 5% on Wasla-processed tickets; Club: 0% Wasla fee), Stripe card processing, and Club subscriptions are disclosed before confirmation. Platform fees charged for Wasla-processed payments are for facilitation already performed and are non-refundable once the charge succeeds, except where mandatory law requires otherwise (see Fees below). Attend at your own judgment; verify details with the host if needed. We do not guarantee event quality, attendance, or that an event will proceed as listed. For refund requests on tickets paid via Wasla Checkout, contact the host first; we may assist as described in section 6.
5. Fees, Stripe, VAT, subscriptions
- External payment links: if a host collects ticket money outside Wasla (Tikkie, Stripe Payment Link, PayPal, etc.), Wasla charges a 0% platform fee on that payment — on Free and on Club. This is separate from any fees charged by the external payment provider the host chooses. Wasla does not process that external payment. To protect users and the platform, we may review payment links you publish (including the URL, provider, and related listing or account activity) for signs of fraud, scams, restricted business categories, or other illegal or harmful use. We do not receive transaction details from third-party providers unless you or they share them with us. If we identify suspicious activity, we may remove links, restrict features, suspend accounts, cooperate with payment providers, and refer matters to competent authorities for investigation where we believe that is necessary or required by law.
- Wasla-processed event payments: when ticket payment is processed through Wasla (Stripe Checkout + Connect destination charges), a host-side Wasla platform fee applies per successful charge: 5% of the ticket on Free, and 0% on Club (amount also disclosed in the host flow). Stripe card processing fees are separate from the Wasla platform fee and apply on both Free and Club; they are disclosed in checkout. The Wasla platform fee pays for payment facilitation and platform services already performed. Once the charge succeeds, the Wasla platform fee is non-refundable, including if the event is cancelled or the host refunds attendees, except where mandatory Dutch/EU law requires a refund or partial refund. Ticket amounts paid by attendees may be refunded separately according to the host’s policy and payment-provider rules; a ticket refund does not automatically refund our platform fee.
- Hosts enable Wasla Checkout by completing Stripe Connect onboarding under Dashboard → Plan & billing (Ticket payouts).
- Club subscriptions are billed via Stripe; taxes (e.g. NL VAT) may apply. Stripe processing on event tickets is never absorbed by Wasla unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
- Free includes 1 community with no card required and no Trusted label. Club is the paid plan (€39/mo or €399/yr, shown as a monthly equivalent when billed annually) with unlimited communities, multi-admin, the Trusted label (Club only), and 0% Wasla platform fee on Wasla-processed tickets (Stripe processing still applies). Free hosts pay a Wasla platform fee of 5% on Wasla checkout. Club may be billed monthly or yearly; yearly billing is discounted versus twelve monthly payments.
- Subscription renewals continue until cancelled in the Stripe billing portal (or as Stripe allows).
- EU consumers: for digital subscriptions you may have a 14-day withdrawal right unless you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge loss of that right where required by law. Stripe Checkout flows and emails may include required disclosures. A blanket “no refunds” clause cannot override that mandatory right where it applies.
6. Stripe Connect marketplace — payments, refunds & risk
For Wasla-processed tickets, Wasla operates a marketplace using Stripe Connect. Attendees pay through Stripe Checkout on Wasla; net proceeds (after fees and adjustments) are transferred to the host’s connected Stripe Express account. Hosts are sellers / connected accounts; Wasla is the platform.
6.1 Refunds, chargebacks, and fines
As the marketplace platform, Wasla is responsible to Stripe for refunds, chargebacks, and related fines on Wasla-processed payments, to the extent Stripe allocates those costs to us. Hosts must:
- publish a clear refund / cancellation practice for their events and honour lawful consumer rights;
- cooperate promptly with any refund, dispute, or chargeback (including providing evidence and, where we request, authorising or initiating a refund);
- reimburse Wasla for chargebacks, Stripe fines, and refund amounts we fund because of the host’s event, listing, or conduct, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We may deduct such amounts from future payouts, pause transfers, or invoice the host. External payment links are outside this marketplace model; those disputes are between the host, the attendee, and the external provider.
6.2 Onboarding and compliance (restricted businesses)
Before enabling Wasla Checkout, hosts complete Stripe-hosted Express onboarding (identity and bank details). We review hosts and their listings to help ensure they are not operating in a restricted business category or selling restricted products under Stripe’s and our rules. We may refuse, suspend, or reverse Connect access if we believe a host or listing is restricted, illegal, high-risk, or misleading. Hosts must keep information accurate and update Stripe onboarding when requested.
6.3 Our support, education, and risk responsibilities
We aim to educate hosts and attendees about how Wasla Checkout, fees, refunds, and payouts work (including in-product guidance such as Dashboard → Payouts and event publishing tips). For payment and risk inquiries we provide support to hosts: we explain our risk processes at a high level, help them understand Stripe requirements, and guide them through remediation when an account needs more information or is under review.
- Seller communication: if a host’s Connect account is affected by risk, fraud prevention, or mitigation (for example limited payouts, required verification, or suspension), we will notify the host using the email on their Wasla account and/or in-product messages, with steps to take where we can.
- Seller remediation: we may ask hosts for additional information to support compliance or dispute handling. Hosts agree to provide it promptly. Collection may use Stripe-hosted onboarding (or embedded onboarding components if we enable them) in addition to email or Dashboard flows.
Contact support@wasla.club for payout, Checkout, chargeback, or Connect questions.
7. Acceptable use
You must follow the Community Guidelines. We may remove content, restrict features (including Connect payouts), or suspend accounts for violations, legal risk, payment risk, or security reasons.
8. Notice of illegal content (DSA)
To report allegedly illegal content, use Notice & action or email abuse@wasla.club. Provide a precise URL/event id, description of illegality, and your contact details. We will review and act in a timely, diligent, and objective manner as required.
9. IP licence
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Zerophia a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Service. Platform software and branding remain ours.
10. No guarantee of outcomes
Wasla is a community and events platform. We do not guarantee that you will find events, attendees, communities, or any particular result. Listings and offline activities depend on hosts and other users, whose conduct and choices we do not control. We also do not guarantee payout timing, which depends on Stripe, banking rails, and account verification status.
11. Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zerophia, Wasla, and our directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claims, demands, proceedings, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs and expenses of defence (including lawyers’ fees) arising out of or related to:
- your use of the Service;
- content you submit (including listings, images, and descriptions);
- events you organise or attend, and your conduct toward others;
- Wasla-processed ticket payments for your events, including refunds, chargebacks, Stripe fines, and disputes;
- your breach of these Terms or Community Guidelines; or
- your fraud, wilful misconduct, or negligence.
This includes situations where your behaviour causes us to be sued or otherwise drawn into a dispute. We may control the defence and settlement of any claim; you will cooperate reasonably. Nothing in this section requires you to indemnify us for our own wilful misconduct or for liability that cannot be limited or allocated to you under mandatory Dutch or EU consumer law. Hosts and business users remain especially responsible for their events and listings.
12. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, nor do we endorse or verify the accuracy of any user-submitted content.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Dutch/EU mandatory law (including consumer rights).
Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, or for losses from offline events organised by hosts. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of €100 or the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. This limitation does not reduce amounts a host owes us under section 6 for chargebacks, fines, or funded refunds.
13. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service anytime. We may suspend or terminate for breach, legal or payment risk, non-payment, Connect compliance issues, or prolonged inactivity. Provisions that by nature should survive (liability, indemnity, IP, Connect reimbursement, governing law) survive termination.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and the courts of the Netherlands (Amsterdam) have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you also retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections under your local law. EU ODR: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
